Upward Basketball

 
 
 
 
 
 
Our biggest recreation and children's ministry is Upward Basketball for kids in grades 1-6. In 2010 more than 500 kids participated from January to early March. The Lord has blessed our league as we have seen much fruit resulting from Upward.

Upward Mission Statement: We are committed to maximizing our efforts, individually, and as a group, to lift Upward the name of Jesus and reach Unlimited people for Christ.
 

Guiding Principles: To achieve our mission with a Christ-like attitude, we are committed to the following:

  • Being keepers of the promise;
  • Creating seed casters;
  • Using conflicts as ministry opportunities;
  • Looking for ever-changing ways to share a never changing message; and
  • Being a first class, organized, detailed evangelistic ministry partnered together as a unified team.

Ball and Basket

  • 1st and 2nd grade leagues: Junior size ball, 8-foot basket
  • 3rd and 4th grade Girls' leagues: Junior size ball, 9-foot basket
  • 3rd and 4th grade Boys' leagues: Intermediate size ball, 9-foot basket
  • 5th and 6th grade leagues: Intermediate size ball, 10-foot basket
