We are excited to host Mothers of Preschoolers (MOPS), MOPS recognizes that the years from infancy through kindergarten are foundational in a mother-child relationship and are filled with unique needs. It is our goal to encourage, equip, develop, and inspire every mother of preschoolers to realize her potential as a woman, mother, and leader in the name of Jesus Christ.

Our group meets every other Thursday morning from 9:30 to 11:30. The meetings offer a variety of speakers, creative activities, and opportunities for valuable fellowship with other moms of preschoolers and mentors. Excellent childcare that includes a Christian curriculum is provided in a program called MOPPETS.

This chapter is supported by First Baptist Church, but Church membership is not a requirement to join MOPS. The registration fee is $90.00 (which includes MOPS International membership benefits of books, goodies, weekly mom e-mail, and MOMSense magazines). There is a $10 fee for each child enrolled in the MOPPETS program. Registration for the 2010-11 year begins May 1. We are always making space for moms in our MOPS group. Our MOPPETS program, however, has limited space. If a childcare class becomes full, we will begin a waitlist. As soon as a space opens, the next child in line will be offered the spot. If you are a mom who does not need childcare, then go ahead and register for MOPS.
